There’s also a manual button to just have food released when you want. The clock works by 24 hour clock, and you can pick any times you choose. I was easily able to set the clock, the portion size and the 6 times I choose to feed my cat. The instructions were easy to understand. The cat food is held on a chamber on top with a locked lid.
